Driving Innovation with Geographic Information
As part of the activity leading to the Terra future event on the 24th and 25th of February 2009 the H-I Network - www.h-i.com - hosted a workshop entitled Driving Innovation with Geographic Information.
The event comprised of a presentation by Dr Chris Parker on the emergence of Geographic Information into the mainstream and the trends in the market that support its sustained growth.
The presentation was followed by workshop activities around our core themes of mass collaboration, transportation, sustainability and climate change.
Participants included innovation expertise from DHL, Qinetiq, National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts (NESTA), HP Labs, BP Alternative Energy, BAe, Assanka, E. On UK, IBM, Abbey, Philips, Crown Agents, Technology Strategy Board, Health Protection Agency, Snowflake Technologies, McClaren and many other design, incumbent and emergent businesses.
