Mass collaboration
Wikipedia – itself a prime example of the phenomenon – defines mass collaboration as a form of collective action that occurs when large numbers of people work independently on a single project, often modular in its nature. The internet, it continues, provides a potentially infinite hypertextual substrate within which the collaboration may be situated.
Mass collaboration underlies the three themes of Terra future 2009: sustainable living and working; climate change and sustainable transportation.
