About Terra future
You don't need us to tell you that the world today faces unprecedented 'grand challenges'. Achieving sustainability, reversing climate change and dealing with the increasing demands on our transport systems are all problems that need long-term solutions.
Thanks to the Internet and new technologies, we now have an unprecedented opportunity to address these grand challenges through mass collaboration.
The first Terra future event on 24 to 25 February was a chance to hear the views on our future from world-renowned speakers, including Charles Leadbeater and Lord David Puttnam, see tomorrow's technologies like the ground-breaking Sentience eco-car, and debate the issues with stakeholders from across the globe.

Idea development session - 24 April 2009
The next Terra future event will be held at Ordnance Survey headquarters in Southampton on Friday 24 April. The day session will include speaker sessions in the morning and a review of the ideas generated at conference. After lunch the ideas will be developed and consolidated into action plans to advance collaborative work at events we plan later in the year. More details of the agenda for the event will be posted in due course.
